OK, here's a tip for others in my situation. As you sit watching judge shows to pass the time of day, you're likely to begin to doze off. Avoid the urge to launch into one of those expansive, arms-over-head, cat style stretches. Dag that hurt. Don't worry, I didn't pull anything or pop a seam. I just felt the need to remark on it.
OK, just a bit of an update here. I just experienced my first post-op sneeze. That certainly woke me up. I hope that doesn't happen again any time soon!

I had a lung carcinoid tumor. It was removed, along with the lower and middle lobes of my right lung, on November 6, 2007. This is a slow growing form of a malignant tumor. I considered the title "malignant me" but that seemed too negative. I locked in on "Not by myself" since that captured how I have felt during this whole, long run. I have set up this blog for people who want to know how things are going. I'll update it regularly, I hope. I'll probably be posting all sorts of things in here.
