Jim spent a relatively quiet night. He watched some TV intermittently
throughout the night. They make him do these regular breathing
test/exercises, and one of them last night caused a lot of pain, which
was eased with medication.
This morning, he got his first sip of liquid since late Monday night.
He is now sitting up in a chair. In preparation for moving him to a
regular room today, they have begun removing some of the many tubes
and connections. He looks better, and is in good spirits. The nurses
say that he is their best patient (but anyone that knows Jim would
expect no less!)

Hey Jim,
Reading the posts re: your surgery recalls my time in the same building back on July 17. I was in Weinberg for 3 days, and I remember the trials and triumphs of the day after surgery and the first time sitting up in a chair. I remember feeling weirdly out of place and completely calm simultaneously. I was so happy that the procedure was over and I could get on with the healing and moving towards regaining my life.
Just know that I'm thinking about you, and I'm feeling like you're well on your way back. Day by day, it will get better. Thanks for sharing what you're going through - it's inspiring.

I think it's great that you can push a button for drugs-and they're legal!
Dear Jim, I hope by know that you are resting comfortably. Our prayers are with you,and your family. All of us cant wait for your return back home to the house nestle in the pine trees.
