A wonderful day

What a wonderful birthday. The trip to Denver went without a hitch. When we got here they surprised me with lunch and a fabulous present - a hammered dulcimer. I couldn't believe it. I've always wanted to learn to play one. It's beautiful. I was thunderstruck. I cannot describe how lucky I am to have been given the family I have. We're off to dinner now. What a day!

Happy 50th Birthday! You deserve to be blessed with wonderful family and friends. You put a lot of thought, kindness and effort into being a great brother, uncle, co-worker and friend. Somewhere in my youth and childhood, I must have done something good just to know you. Here's to many more birthday celebrations.....cheers!

Hi there-- so glad you had a good trip out there and are among your loving family (and being thought of by your loving friends). Hammered dulcimer, yum! I took some lessons when I lived in Roanoke in the 1980's, and was crazy about a group there called No Strings Attached. Do you know of Maggie Sansone in Annapolis? She's a great dulcimer hammerer, and I last saw her at the Renaissance Festival Have a wonderful trip! Cats Meow (Susan)
